Come join us for the second annual Society for the Advancement of Biology Education Research (SABER) meeting to be held July 12-15 at the STSS building at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. We have two key note addresses, 48 talks and 52 posters on the latest findings in Biology education research scheduled for presentation. The majority of the research focuses on undergraduate biology but also extends to K-12, educational outreach and faculty development research questions. This meeting is a great opportunity to meet and interact with colleagues conducting research on pedagogical innovations, creating concept inventories, developing new assessment tools and future research ideas. If last year's meeting is any indication, this year's meeting should be a very exciting and intellectually stimulating. The meeting is open to faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, post-docs, staff and administrators (you do not need to submit an abstract to attend the meeting). We have NSF funding that will subsidize part of the cost of the meeting and this has allowed us to keep the cost of the meeting very low. We hope you can join us in Minneapolis July 12-15 and learn more about the exciting new sub-discipline of Biology that is Biology Education Research. More details of the meeting can be found at the following web site: http://saber-biologyeducationresearch.wikispaces.com/National+meeting+2012
