Details

We are pleased to announce Cold Spring Harbor Asia conference on Genome Assisted Biology of Crops and Model Plant Systems which will be held at the Suzhou Dushu Lake Conference Center in Suzhou, China, located approximately 60 miles west of Shanghai. The conference will begin at 7:00pm on the evening of Monday April 21, and will conclude after lunch on Friday, April 25, 2014. The conference will include eight oral sessions and one poster session covering the latest findings across many topics in plant biology. Many talks will be selected from the openly submitted abstracts on the basis of scientific merit and relevance. Social events throughout the conference provide ample opportunity for informal interactions. Recent years have witnessed enormous advances in our ability to apply genomics technologies to the study of non-model organisms. This conference will present recent breakthroughs in the use of genomics to understand the biology and productivity of plants. A broad range of topics will be united with a common theme of using basic biology to improve crop plant productivity and sustainability. Invited Speakers: Thomas Brutnell,Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, USA Mike Bevan, John Innes Center, UK Xiaofeng Cao, Institute of Genetics & Developmental Biology, CAS, China Brian Dilkes, Purdue University, USA Andrea Eveland, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, USA Mitsuyasu Hasebe, National Institute for Basic Biology, Japan Luis Herrera-Estrella, Center for Research&Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute, Mexico Sanwen Huang, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China Dirk Inze, Gent University, Belgium Takeshi Izawa, National Institute of Agrobiological Sciences, Japan Masayoshi Kawaguchi, National Institute for Basic Biology, Japan Harry Klee, University of Florida, USA Anna Koltunow, CSIRO Plant Industry, Australia Junko Kyozuka, The University of Tokyo, Japan Insuk Lee, Yonsei University, South Korea Jiayang Li, Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, China Hong Gil Nam, Center for System Biplogy of Plant Senescence and Life History, IBS & DGIST, Korea Naoko Nishizawa, The University of Tokyo, Japan Rajani Sarojam, Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory, Singapore Motoaki Seki, RIKEN Plant Science Center, Japan Esther van der Knaap, The Ohio State University, USA Huiwen Wu, The Rockefeller University, USA Jian Ye, Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory, SINGAPORE Daniel Zilberman, University of California, Berkeley, USA We encourage abstracts to contain new and unpublished materials.
