I am the director of publications at ASPB. I joined the organization in December 1997, just in time to usher our journals Plant Physiology and The Plant Cell into the electronic era with HighWire Press. Before joining ASPB, I was editorial services director with the National Association of Social Workers; project manager with the National Academy Press of the National Academies; senior editor at a small commercial publisher working in the health and education arenas; and copy editor at the American Physiological Society, part of FASEB. In between the Academy and NASW, I earned an MBA at Boston University. I have a bachelor's degree in zoology.
Social/Volunteer Organizations
I'm especially interested in animal welfare, and volunteer with the Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County, the county's only no-kill shelter.
