Welcome! If you are interested in promoting the inclusion of female plant biologists in all aspects of our society and our profession, you've come to the right place!
The ASPB Women in Plant Biology Committee (WIPBC) will play a role in supporting this group, sharing information, and keeping the conversations flowing. But everyone is welcome, and everyone is encouraged to participate.
Just FYI (in case you were wondering) WIPBC was established as an ad hoc committee of the ASPB in 1986. Its charge was (and remains!) to maintain and enhance the status of women plant biologists and to address issues of particular concern to women scientists at the annual meeting. In addition, its goal was (and remains!) to promote the inclusion of women plant scientists in all aspects of the ASPB and plant science in general.
